“When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us”
A very powerful quote by one of the greatest inventors of all time. Some may not know this, but Bell was also a highly regarded speech pathologist and he spent a tremendous amount of time working with the deaf.
To some, this quote may seem to be an optimistic approach to life, but there is always a case and point in any of our lives that we can allude to that proves its meaning.
In my opinion, the meaning behind this quote is fairly simple; The door represents opportunity and ALWAYS BE OPTIMISTIC.
We all learn in life through trial and error and if it wasn’t for defeat, none of us would really know what it means to be victorious.
A closed door does not mean defeat or failure, but yet another opportunity for growth and success.
Leaving a door only partially open or partially closed, partially blocks you from receiving whatever is forthcoming.
Don’t dwell in the past so long that you prevent a future blessing.
Our future open doors can come from past closed ones.
I challenge you to think of some of the closed doors in your life that have led to better opportunities.
