Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no one’s definition of your life; Define Yourself
I have often believed that you should never accept what someone else believes is intended for your life.
Many times we are often silent when our voices need to be heard. Now don’t take what I am saying too far…..
There are also many times where we need to remain silent, but we have to learn when those times are and what battles are actually worth fighting.
I wrote a post a few months back on the “Silence of Solitude” and understanding when need that filter between our brain and our mouth is equally important.
The intent of this quote is to remind us that we don’t have to become a product of someone else’s circumstances.
We are responsible for our own actions, regardless of outcome. There comes a time when you need to speak up for yourself and not allow others to define your existence.
When people go through painful times in their lives, they can tend to be somewhat reclusive, forgetting the importance of talking to others. Make no mistake about it; this IS an important part of the healing process.
As human beings, our social existence is dependent on conversations.
Although there is a certain sentiment in silence, there comes a time when we need to let that sentiment go and confide in someone we are close too so the true healing can begin.
